Kestrel International (USA) Inc. is based in Tampa, Florida and has managers located throughout the United States. Enquiry applications are received in Tampa, and forwarded to Kestrel Pensions Administration Ltd which is based at St. Julian’s, Malta, who process and research the enquiries. Since May 2005 Malta has been a member of the European Union. The company is an International Trading Corporation under the auspices of the Malta Financial Services Authority and is able to function efficiently for its global clientele in almost the same time zone as the British pension regulators - OPRA - and UK’s pension providers and trustees.
The Kestrel research activity is provided absolutely free to its clients- Kestrel is compensated when a pension is transferred from one provider to another, for the improved benefit of the pension holder. It acts solely as a transaction broker and only advises on UK pensions to non UK residents. It does not handle money or invest it. This is handled by regulated Trustees. Kestrel only places non QROPS pension business with UK companies regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA).
